The Rev. Jehu Jones Jr. (1786–1852) was the first African Descent Lutheran pastor. He founded one of the first African-American Lutheran congregations in the U.S. and was actively involved in improving the oppressive conditions of his people through social justice. You can read about his life and accomplishments here. This year the Rev. Lenny Duncan issued a call for the establishment of a reparations fund in honor of Rev. Jones. You can learn more about this important movement here.

50% of the proceeds from the sale of these icons will go directly to the reparations fund. Buy a print (or five!) and support this important movement toward dismantling white supremacy.
